Personally,I prefer having oranges as it is to having as sweets such as orange marmalade, orange cocolate,orange sablee..yes,they are nice,but only the flavor stays.Where is the juice??Isn't that the best part of orange?That is why I hardly take orange-something stuff.
But this cake is one of the exceptions as for this cake;
Stewed orange slices on top,grated orange zest in the cake,finished by a lot of orange juice ,which is very important to give it good tangy orangey taste.
It is tender and fresh when it is baked up ,moist and rich the next day.
